Kranthout (Dutch for "newspaper wood") is a material made from rolled-up newspapers milled into planks. Developed by Mieke Meijer for design firm vij5, it looks just like the real thing (sans type of course) and can be drilled and sanded just like real wood. Via Inhabitat.
