Porridge Papers
Not only do the fine folks at Lincoln, Nebraska studio Porridge Papers do some great letterpress work, they go the extra mile and create their own papers by hand from scratch!
Bloom Poster
After carving a giant 36" by 48" hunk of linoleum with a beautiful design, a group of AIGA Seattle designers got together to create five prints, using a steamroller to create the pressure needed to do so with such a large linocut. They further enhanced the individuality of each by dropping inked sponges from two stories up, creating some great prints with what looks to be a pretty fun event. The aptly named Minneapolis design and letterpress workspace Studio on Fire has a portfolio full of amazing printed ephemera, much of which is printed on 100% tree-free cotton paper produced from reclaimed garment industry fibers. Beautiful prints and environmental responsibility, what could be better?
