The Say Something Poster Project

A fantastic idea for an incredibly worthwhile cause, The Say Something Poster Project has released their Call for Entries and is now accepting submissions for their 2010 poster design competition. The S.S.P.P. (as I'll call it) is a poster design competition and gallery show created to give designers the opportunity to use poster design to say something that will inspire, motivate and educate teenage kids. Each year 10 winning posters are chosen and donated to a non-profit organization, transforming their space with engaging and inspirational imagery. Designers that reach the semifinal and final rounds are rewarded with a variety of design tools and resources, so please take the time to enter for a great cause that deserves our help as designers!

The Haiti Poster Project

By the same folks who brought you the Hurricane Poster Project (benefitting victims of Katrina), comes the Haiti Poster Project, with proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. There are a ton of entries (over 300) by some very talented folks. Below is my entry depicting an overhead view of a refugee tent city, that upon further inspection reveals a message of hope. You don't have to buy mine, but check out the site and consider buying a poster...at least as a donation to DWB.

The Working Proof

The Working Proof is an online print gallery and shop with the mission of promoting both art and social responsibility through a series of limited-edition prints. Prints are affordable (always under $100), and each print is paired by the artist with a charity to which they will donate 15% of each sale - creating a product with not just aesthetic, but social value. Great art and a great cause, please support them if you can!
