Kustaa Saksi
I couldn't possibly explain it better, so I'll use his words: the illustrations of Amsterdam artist Kustaa Saksi are "a syrupy disarray of elements: playful, paradoxical, often over-glossy, inviting, troubling, messy, and yet strangely clear".
Shoe

Evan Hecox has an upcoming show at the Chiellerie Gallery in Amsterdam, October 24-29. For those of you unfamiliar with the work of Hecox (I don't know how anyone could be, but I digress), visit his site here, and immediately rush to purchase prints here.

Stefan Sagmeister's installation for the Droog Event "Urban Play" in Amsterdam is, like all things Sagmeister, phenomenal. Or should I say "was" phenomenal. It's life was short-lived (under 20 hours after completion due to attempted thievery and subsequent police destruction), but I guess that's the risk carried with all public art. By the way, the final product reads "Obsessions make my life worse and my work better."
