There's a certain simplicity and purity I love about Lisa Kowalski's paintings. Broken down to the bare essentials of brush strokes and color, it's apparent that she's concerned with the act of painting and spontaneity in general. Some may try to attach a deeper meaning to them, but I'm fine with the fact that they're just plain beautiful.
