In order to curb the use of gas-powered motorcycles, Rustico Balderian, the mayor of Tabontabon in the Philippines, commissioned the construction of two taxis made from 90% bamboo. Not only are they hand-crafted from a renewable material and powered by coconut biodiesel, they're pretty darn good looking to boot! Via Inhabitat.
