When I picture my dream home, I think of a modern version of the small-town country home I grew up in, tin roof and all. Someplace that speaks in the vernacular of the Midwest without being covered in the wallpaper, paneling and knicknacks of my actual birthplace. Enter McInturff Architects' Rappahannock County House, an amazing combination of country vernacular and modern aesthetics, complete with mountain views and screened porch. I'll take two, thank you.
