It's Abandonment Day at The Best Part!!

Only here could you find a day's posts organized around such a gloomy theme. I know, however, that there are others out there who find such things beautiful in a slightly strange, yet nostalgic way. So without further adieu...

We start today's theme with the collection of the Buchstaben Museum, Berlin's Museum of Letters. Literally, it's a fantastic collection of type in signage form from Berlin and around the world. Via Core77.

Yeah, I have some medium-sized random letters from metal signs scattered about our home. I've been eying some big ones myself but I think wifey's a bit concerned that my obsession will soon take over.

Love it! Great find Mr. Dean. Glad there are other like me!

I have several sets of old letters like the complete CAMELOT MUSIC and J.RIGGINS. I've been dragging them around since 1996 waiting for the perfect place to put them up. And about 20 HUGE billboards from the 60s and 70s.
