Nostalgic for Abandonment

Self-taught photographer Jeff Brouws "American Typologies" confront issues of sociopolitical equality, among other things, by documenting the rapidly changing landscape of America. Whether it's an abandoned gas station, highway diner or strip mall, his photographs are both social commentary and poetic nostalgia, but then maybe you have to be from a dilapidated abandoned rust belt town to feel nostalgia for it...creepy.
