If I were to envision my perfect living situation, it would be a space in a dense urban environment that didn't seem like it was in a dense urban environment. The best of both worlds, a relaxing space to retire at the end of a busy day, but still close enough to walk to any number of events and urban amenities.
Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects must be reading my mind. This six-apartment complex can be found in the heart of Tokyo, but feels like a home in the rural Japanese mountains, with a view of nothing but trees and sky.
