I've a feeling we're not in Disney anymore, Pluto

She's a Roight Farkin Desoina

I'm loving the work of recent University of Portsmouth graduate Jodie Silsby, especially her map of Portsmouth Vernacular, which maps the city not by streets and monuments but the dialect and language of each individual area. Genius!

Sorry, No Checks.

Lisbon design studio Alva does it all. Listed in their areas of expertise are graphic design, art direction, identity and stationery, books, posters, typography, illustration, websites, motion and environmental design. They also wash and detail cars, sell hot dogs from a cart and operate a coin laundry and bodega.

Ivanow Favorite Photographer

In Case You've Been Under a Rock...

Pentagram's graphic identity for New York's Museum of Arts and Design is a fun exercise in geometry, reflecting the circles and squares present in the building itself and its location in Columbus Circle.

Urban Renewal

Like hotcakes......tasty, tasty hotcakes.

Joshua Budich has some nice new posters available in his shop, which always sell out quickly, so get them while you can!

Obsession of the Day

It's a new day, so of course I have a new favorite painter ever...Introducing Christopher Wool and his smeared-linear incredible goodness.

Inspiration to dust off your Faber-Castells

Local Orlando artist Andrew Spear uses the oft-negated media known as colored pencil to create these insane drawings. Pictures really don't do them justice, the color and texture of his work is incredible and you really need to see them in person to fully appreciate their detail. Enjoy!

Self-Promotion for Recent Graduates 101

Here's another recent graduate that won't be on the market for long (if he still is). If you're in need of a talented young designer, give Trevor Gilley's work a look and prepare to make some calls. I'm expecially loving his Modern Classics covers:
