Preferential treatment...Not that she needs it.

Brooklyn photographer Meg Wachter (famous for her "dumped" series) has a plethora of great shots on her site, and it doesn't hurt that she's a fellow OU Alum. In fact, it seems lately that it's pretty much a prerequisite to be featured on The Best Part (see Jenny Holzer last week, Maya Lin, etc., etc.) Don't let this detract from Meg's work, though, her amazing photos would be featured even if she were a Miami of Ohio grad (gasp!).

Truisms Come to Chicago

As a fan of Jenny Holzer's work, I may have to make a special trip to Chicago for her upcoming exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Oct. 25 - Feb. 1. As a fellow southern Ohio native and Ohio University alum, I must say I'm a bit biased, but I don't think anyone would argue her impact on the current politically charged art world. Chi-town natives should make a special trip of their own today through Friday, when her work will be projected on the museum facade after dark.
