Hello all, hope the holiday season is treating you well! If you're still scouring the earth for gifts (like me) for the mailman, your favorite barista or the acquaintance from high school who won't stop facebook stalking you, maybe I can help. Our newest print series, "Fortune Posters" features illustrated phrases taken from actual fortune cookies on 12" x 18" bond. You can submit to the fortune gods by ordering one, in which case I will randomly select and send you your fortune in poster form. Or order the entire set of 8 posters to ensure you receive your favorite. You can also get your fortune by ordering any other print in our shop, in which case I'm including a free fortune poster with every order. Either way, it's a fun project that encourages interaction and a bit of uncertainty...order them for the whole office and give everyone their fortune!

Supermundane
I don't know how I've managed to neglect posting about the work of Supermundane up to this point, but now I'm rectifying the situation. Enjoy!

TBP on Supermarket
It's been a crazy month or two around here at TBP, just one more announcement and I swear I'll be done with the self-promotion for a while. With that said, I'm proud to announce that The Best Part has been invited to create a shop on Supermarket! From now on, TBP prints will be available both in my own personal shop at TheBestPart.com and alongside tons of other amazing artists at Supermarket. As always, thank you for your continued support and patronage!
Alex Griendling
Loving this poster by Alex Griendling to benefit Toys in the Attic. The objects he played with as a child are printed in gold, and the things he imagined they were are printed in varnish on top of the gold. Via Allan Peters.

Now
Yet another incredible new print from Marian Bantjes, "Now" is available (for now) at 20x200.

New TBP Shop
The newly-designed TBP Shop is finally up and running, including several new prints! The prints range from a calendar that lets its users feel the effects of imprisonment, to a poster depicting sections of trees, screen printed with ink made from ashes of the charred wood itself. Check it out and tell your friends! As always, thanks to my readers for your continued support, and for putting up with my continued self-promotion.

Upper Playground Contest
The fine folks at Upper Playground are sponsoring an art contest, the winner of which receives a limited edition Jason Jagel hand printed intaglio/wood block print and will qualify for a larger grand prize at a later date. They'll also put your piece on their blog and include it in their weekly newsletter to give you some more eyeballs on what you do. To enter, submit a photo of any design/artwork/photograph/piece you’ve done to their Facebook fan photos section. The winner will be decided by who has the most ‘Likes’ on their photo, so it’s up to you to promote your design. They’ll be tallying the votes next Monday (June 28th) at 12 noon PST.
